Kantar July 15Kantar Worldpanel’s smartphones sales share report for 3 months ending July 2015 is available now and it looks quite encouraging for Windows Phone. Having a look at the sales share chart above one can easily make out that Windows Phone sales share has grown in Europe and on the basis of five top European markets has now crossed 11%.

Windows Phone sales share has grown strongly in UK and France on a Month on Month basis. Check the last Month figures by clicking here. If we include Russia’s figure, Windows Phone has more than 10% sales share in UK, Germany, Italy, France & Russia now.

Out of Europe, Windows Phone has registered growth in markets like US, Australia and even China both on MoM and YoY basis. In China it has attained 1.5% sales share after a long time. The Windows Phone sales share growth seems coming at the expense of Android market share in nearly all the markets.

With Microsoft focusing more in near future on high-end (Lumia 940 & Lumia 940 XL) and upper mid-range devices (Lumia 840), a complete portfolio of Lumia offerings will be there in October / November. There are enough compelling low-end and lower mid-range Lumias in market, so we can see a volume growth once new devices come and Windows 10 Mobile update roll-out takes place.
