It seems more Chinese OEMs are willing to jump on the Windows 10 Mobile ROM bandwagon for their original Android devices. Last we reported that many devices from Xiaomi and OnePlus may get Windows 10 Mobile ROMs. Now another Chinese OEM UMI has announced its plans to make Windows 10 Mobile available for its Android smartphone UMI Touch. UMI Touch is supposed to run on Android Marshmallow out of the box and Windows 10 Mobile will be available as an optional download for users.

Though the source is not very positive about this announcement for some not so evident reasons. We have reached to UMI and will update this article when we hear from them. If we take a close look at the specs of the UMI touch, it is quite clear that this could be the first Windows 10 Mobile running device that will sport a MediaTek chipset.
