SlackA much-awaited app by many, Slack is in process of bringing its app to Windows Phone store soon. It has sent invitations to many of its users to join as Beta testers of the upcoming app. You can also Beta testing by following the link provided below in the mail sent to an user by Slack, but it is not sure how many of Beta testers will be able to join the programme.

Hey there!

We’re nearing the end of an unexpectedly long and winding road towards an official Windows Phone app for Slack. There have been many false starts and discarded dreams — you may have actually used one or more of those attempts! — but we think we have something nearly Slack-worthy for real this time. We’re launching a beta of our new Windows Phone app and we’d love it if you’d join us. This is a beta, so the standard warnings of “here be dragons” apply. This is a roundabout way of saying that we need your feedback, which you can provide by replying to this email or choosing the “feedback” link in the app (you’ll find it under Settings -> About).

We’ve posted a list of known bugs at https://slack-files.com/T024BE7LD-F08UPP1DJ-4b526e6cbe. We’ll update it as we knock bugs down and add ones to the list that we plan to fix before a wider release.

Phew! That was a lot of words. If you are interested in participating in this Beta, please add your Live ID to our Windows Phone Beta Sign-up form at https://slackhq.wufoo.com/forms/slack-windows-phone-beta-signup/. Please note it can take up to 7 days to receive your invitation.

Thanks! We’ll be in touch when we have more updates to share.
